Rose Sundin

This is my 21st year at Forest Glen and my 23rd year teaching Kindergarten and/or First Grade. My husband and I are the parents of three boys (men) who also attend schools in the district in which I teach (two graduated from Bay Port High School). We are a very active and busy family. My boys participate(d) in not only school sports but band, local organizations and recreational activities that the Green Bay area has to offer. They keep us running but I love every minute of it. My oldest son, Derek graduated from UW-Platteville with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. My middle son, Dylan, just graduated from the University of Minnesota majoring in Marketing/International Business and my youngest son, Drake will be a junior at Bay Port this year. My husband and I both grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and are still "Yoopers" at heart. I'm so proud of our community of Howard-Suamico and work hard to help the youngest learners in our schools reach their full potential and have fun while doing it.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Elementary Education from Northern Michigan University (Marquette, MI) and a double minor in the Planned Elementary Component and Social Studies. I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Lesley University (Cambridge, MA). I am actively involved in our school environment. I am on the writing committee for Kindergarten at Forest Glen along with the Social and Emotional Learning committee and work on the English Language Arts committee for Kindergarten in our district. I love learning about new technology available and using it on a daily basis with our youngest learners. I not only am passionate about teaching my students, I love collaborating with my colleagues as well. I am fortunate to have such a progressive district to work in and am blessed to work with an amazing team of teachers. All three of my sons attended Forest Glen Elementary and it has a special place in my heart.

Our dog Yooper is a Schnauzer/Bichon mix and he loves going for rides! He turned 15 years old this year!
